Lisa Blake

Lisa Blake is an experienced improvement and co-design leader with over 20 years’ experience across the private and public sectors. She began her career with General Motors and Air New Zealand before moving into healthcare with the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and now works within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora.

 Over the past ten years at Ko Awatea, Lisa has led co-design and quality improvement initiatives that bring together staff, patients, whānau, and communities to shape more responsive, equitable health services. Her work includes telehealth, remote patient monitoring, cancer care, and models of care for gestational diabetes.

 In her current role as Co-design Training and Change Lead, Lisa designs and delivers national training programmes, building capability in co-design, stakeholder engagement, and improvement practice. Her work consistently centres lived experience, ethical engagement, and real-world impact.
