Standing at 2 meters high, discover how termites have built these incredible structures that have withstood the test of time. Some up to a 100 years old, the mounds' edges point towards north-south to keep the mounds cool for the magnetic termites that live within them. There are accessible boardwalks and a viewing area off Litchfield Park Road in the northern area of the Park that will lead you to the Magnetic Termite Mounds.
Stop 2: Florence Falls (look out)
Be inspired by panoramic views of the open valley and waterhole beneath Florence Falls. Aneasy 3 minute walk from the car park will bring you to lookout point and excellent views of Florence Falls.
Stop 3: Wangi Falls (option for swimming)
150 kilometers outside of Darwin, Wangi Falls is the most popular attraction in Litchfield National Park. Surrounded by a picnic area, take a dip in the large plunge pool below the falls. There is a camping ground with hot showers nearby.
